Terrible Location, Poor Quality, Poor Service, Nice Polite Attentive Staff (No Paradox)

Boudl hotel location is in a deserted area with no access to taxi, pharmacy or even a grocery. Hotel is aesthetically good yet the service is poor. Photos you see in the pictures are far from the reality! Especially the room. It has a myriad of small annoyances; First room I got had a toilet under the basin, impossible to use! I found that was after I went in and unpacked, had to return to reception to show me other rooms to choose from, then return to my room to pack everything, then unpack it again in the second room! Second room had a broken safe box, had to call them to change it. Complimentary water, tea, coffee were missing in the room, only empty covers! Had to call again. Room service brought tea and coffee, yet said water was finished! Promised to bring water the next day, yet no water in my room whatsoever for the whole stay. Later to find out there was no sugar! So no water, nor sugar, so gave up! Later they brought sugar when I called them for the third time! But still no water :) I asked where the breakfast buffet is, they said we'll bring it to my room, I just need to call room service! The phone number printed on the room service menu is 400, while the actual number you need to call is 114 :) Breakfast quality is poor. Breakfast had no cutlery with it! Had to call them to request it. Breakfast had no salt or pepper! Had to call them for a second time to get it. Breakfast had hair in it. Hair!! Upon return to my room at 6pm after work, the breakfast tray was still there, called them to remove it. Same thing for the second day as well, so had to call them again! Showers are open, so they literally flood the whole bathroom. No housekeeping for the whole duration, bed sheets, wet towels, bathroom, everything remains as I left it! Rooms are HUGE and light switches are far from the beds, so you have to walk in the dark and avoid hitting things! Actual rooms are totally different from what you see in the pictures in here and on their website, and far poorer in quality. No power socket where the boiler is set, so you have to put it on the floor near a power socket! I brought my own water now. A myriad of small inconveniences indeed! Yet staff are extremely polite and professional, and sometimes responsive. Non Arabic speaking staff have very limited English abilities.

The place is very clean with spacious rooms. Very good value for money. The place has a very good location. Steakhouse restaurant is one minute walk among other nice restaurants. I would recommend this place to those who are planning to stay couple of nights in Riyadh as its conveniently nearby the Airport and Dammam Highway.

I believe it is a nice location, at least easy to remember if you have your own vehicle and doesn't have navigation device to relocate. If you are a Boundl user then i would say there is no change in anything except big room. I selecting two bed room suite (was comfort) which also included living and kitchen area, nothing was complimentary but yes Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I stayed at this hotel in November 2012 for 3 nights. Pros Fully furnished spacious rooms with small kitchen (Huge rooms), nice comfortable decor nice small coffee shop Cons Far from shopping markets of riyadh, you have to travel for at least 25 minutes to find a good market. (Public transport is not good in riyadh. They dont need it, they can buy 1 litre petrol for 10 cents)

بودل غني عن التعريف وخصوصاً فرع المصيف .. والي زاد الجمال الموظفين وتعاملهم الراقي موقع الفندق على الدائري الشمالي بين مخرج خمسة وستة يجعل منه موقع مناسب والشقق جداً ممتازة كما يحتوي على مركز رياضي ومسبح داخلي .
